51 B ammeter connections

I'm wiring my 51 B and need to know which post of the ammeter goes where? In other words, which post (+ or -) goes to the battery and which to the generator? Thanks.

Connect it one way and then (with the engine not running) turn the lights. If the ammeter shows DISCHARGE, you have it right! But if the ammeter shows CHARGE, it is connected backwards!
