1st parade, 1st pull

Simla days 2008. First chance to put my '37 B in a parade. It was a big one, too! 2 or 3 cars, followed by 12 tractors, followed by both of the town's fire trucks and the ambulance.

Also gave my first effort in a tractor pull, and took 1st place! [i:6ab38fbd79](Shhhhhhh. Don't tell anyone, but I was the only entry in my category.)[/i:6ab38fbd79]

The old gal with me aboard came in at 3485 pounds, making it about 3250 without me. So I guess there's still fluid in the tires. I just haven't had the time to do much with this since I bought it last fall.

Also came to the conclusion that I'm going to have to do the top end on the motor. Both cylinders are running rich but the right plug is getting oil fouled. So I guess head work and/or new rings are in the future.

But the smiles are what this is all about. And there were plenty today.

Lean out your carburetor as far as it will allow - specifically for parades. If you don't do much work with it, run a super hot plug.
