I just bought this scraper and I'm trying to figure out who manufactured it. It is HEAVY! and has provisions for scarifiers and if you notice the axles, it appears that I could rig it to tilt. I intend to do just that.

I'm in the process of rebuilding the lift mechanism, (lots of slack and wobble) and I am going to try and build a hydraulic setup to deploy and retract the scarifiers. It's 10 foot and probably too much for my tractor but hey, I'll just try to take a smaller bite.

So, anybody have any ideas about who may have been the manufacturer?

Very similar to Eversman built in Colorado. Lots of different manufacturers in California built them also.

Other than to satisfy curiosity, the maker doesn't much matter. It's not like there's anything on that that isn't a generic off-the-shelf part, OR can't be custom fabricated for less than what parts would cost if you could get them.

Leveling out loose dirt is my plan. I'm fixing it up and if I can't use it, I'll sell it (at a loss usually) but I'm going to see what I can do with it. I got this machine at a very attractive price, even with all I do to it (labor not included) I'll be in it at a lower cost than one of the smaller lighter scrapers you see everywhere, this is a heavy strong piece of equipment and will serve somebody (maybe me) well.

It is larger than I wanted but oh well.

I have rebuilt a lot of terraces with a 10' blade like that. Granted, it was dirt that had been cultivated but you should do fine.

Your not going to pull that with a 100 HP you will need more like 150-200 with the front wheel driving or 4wd on it. A 560 or 4020 is just going to level out loose dirt with it. Dirt work of any kind takes weight and power to do.

Don't know what pulled this one but I can assure it has been well used. Besides the previously mentioned wear on the lift mechanism, the cutting edge, when new was 6 inches top to bottom but it is only 3 1/2 or so now. It was actually starting to wear into the machine itself. I have a new cutting edge ordered, just over $500 delivered to my drive way. Shoot maybe I should order half dozon or so. NOT!

That I cannot tell you. Back when I still drove dump truck it was common to see things like that being pulled by doziers etc
