Would appreciate any help identifying year and model.

Would anyone be able to identify model for this JD planter. Appropriate year?

Thank you

Where are you located? That type of planter was never used in
my part of country so no one in corn belt would be likely to
know.

I can't help with the model but with three point hitch and spoke wheels I would say that lister is from around 1945 to 1955.

Could not be that old as heavier than any 3 point hitch from then would not have capacity to handle it. 55 up possibly with the 800-900 series Fords older ones not enough lift or front weight to keep wheels on ground if lifted. Cannot dee hitch so some other type of hitch possible.

It has chains that are driven by axle mounted gears if that helps.

Lister, back when cotton was bedded in west Tx. Quit doing that about 20 years ago. Bunch around with Mesquites growed up thru them here.

I do know it is heavier than the N series tractors could lift, only had an eight hundred pound lift capacity.. I have 2 of them.

The JD 800 and 801 accessory 3 pt hitch was out for sure by the time the number series was out in 1952. I'm thinking that they were available for the late letter series. Good thing the 2 cylinder expo is happening at Canandaigua, NY this summer as I will do some asking on that.

Regency B. What you have is really Not a planter; It's a Bedder - Lister, With Fertilizer attachment ; Very sure it's a model
850 series , Parts catolog # 398 on JD parts.com...manufactured 1953 to 1956 , to match the no.800 hitch on numbered series
tractors, 50 / 60 / 70 .. Would take at lest a 70 to pull it.. hope this helps..
