What is the part #455? I am looking for the driver side part. The image is of the passenger side.

Are there any online implement manuals or breakout diagrams?

Not sure of the exact age of the implement, but the serial number is 35369 if that helps any.

Does anyone know a good source for such implement parts?

From the limited view of your photos, I think I have a disk just like yours. Burch is still in business in Evansville, In. Their website does not show that model disc anymore but I would bet that bearing cap was made by someone else for Burch to assemble. It is worth a call to them. 812-425-5707

Thanks, will do! Also was able to get a pic of the bottom cap of the missing side.

I actually spoke to Jim Burch.... these parts are no longer manufactured or stocked... (my luck). Does anyone know of any implement 'Bone Yards' that might have such an obscure part?

Not luck. That disc was manufactured in the 1950's. You can't expect parts to be available after all this time.

Luck is when the parts ARE available.

The casting is called a "box" or "bearing box" and the part that fits on the disc's axle is the "spool" or "bearing spool."

You can still get boxes and spools for old discs. They may not be exact but you can get something that's close and make it work

Agrisupply is one source I'm familiar with. They carry a few different kinds of boxes and spools. I'm sure you can make one work.

Odds of finding this exact disc with good boxes and spools in a junkyard are slim. Implements usually get scrapped because they take up space and there is no money in them. Everybody wants tractor parts, tractor parts, tractor parts...

Thanks for the lead.... another avenue to pursue....
