Mf35 strong enough

It should spin it up just fine. Depending on the material being cut, travel speed, and the type of flail will make a difference in how well it carries it at speed.

I will be using hammer blades and I dont want to go slower than 6mph in 1-2 foot grass.

With that info I would want a larger tractor, x 2 at least. It is a heavier flail with hammer blades and 6 mph is reasonably fast. More tractor needed for control and power, just my opinion.

That was a typo. I meant 4mph. But I gather that doesnt make much diff. It will be a tad too much for this little tractor.

I had a Fergie 35 with a Perkie 3 cyl diesel. That was a tugging little sucker for its size. Course 175cm/25.4 cm/in =
6.9........something is wrong with your numbers.

Lets try that again. I slipped a decimal......sorry end of the day and being retired in 2005, my memory is failing...along with everything else.....celebrating the wonderful Golden Years.....yeah right!

Looks like 5.7' so I would think that would be quite a load. Course with a mower you can mitigate lower hp by varying cutting width and ground speed to suit the field. On weight you might/probably will need some front end help.

Well it looks like I will have to do with a 150cm and take the extra time it takes to mow the field. Thanx for the usefull input fron you.
