I have a rope trip drill with drag chains. Am curious on how to set the planting depth. The manual does not specify

Wow, I did not know they made the 510 with rope trip. I would leave it set where the last guy had it. I have the book for my 510. I'll check tomorrow if they show rope trip in it.

If I remember right you turn the T handle looking threaded rod for depth adjustment. We had a #10 with the trip rope but it has been a long time ago now. Paul

I don't know that you can really set depth so mush as just down pressure.

I've seen a rope trip set up with steel wheels on an Amish farm. Amish neighbor across the road was drilling with an old Oliver Superior wood box on steel the same day. Then down the road a short way was a fairly new tractor pulling a fairly new JD no-till drill. Contrasts.
