Backhoe for John Deere 3010

Was there ever a backhoe made to fit a
John Deere 3010 or 4020?

If not how could I modify one to fit?
Don't want a 3 point hoe.

Also do y'all think the 3010 has enough
hydraulic power for a hoe to be effective?

Thanks in advance.

There were tractors of that size that were a TLB. I think if you mount a hoe on the back of the models mentioned they will be very light on the front end . As for the hydraulic I believe you would be fine both volume and pressure wise. Might be a bit slower than a regular TLB. TLB(tractor loader backhoe)

There were JD TLB's with a 3010 inside. But a 580 E Case would be better. Has a Cummins motor. Uses a frame so reverser torque converter can be worked on without splitting machine. And aftermarket parts are available. Know not what you asked. But will be cheaper in the long run. And a way better hoe.

It has a loader on it, I guess I might have to remove it to run the hoe.

But I can get a front weight set.

Not sure how the power beyond works on a Deere but you can run the hoe without taking off the loader. With a power beyond you would have live uninterrupted hydraulic power to the hoe while still able to use the loader. Since you would have a loader and hoe on you could plumb into the remote for the hoe just have to tie the lever when you go to use the hoe. I would not leave the lever tied except when I went to use the hoe though would be hard on the circuit.

No JD 3010 were factory equipped with a BH. However JD offered models 500/500A that were similar to model 3020 that were equipped with a cast iron nose piece surrounding fuel tank/radiator to serve as a counterbalance for BH. These models could have both FEL/BH. Model 500 in photo below utilized a different trans pump than a 3010 so I'm going to guess 500 trans pump has more hyd oil output than 3010 trans pump.

Any BH used on a 3010 hyd system needs to have hyd valves configured for closed-center.

Place I used to work had a Case BH that came off of a large older skidloader, that they had made to three point. I used it quite a bit with their 1968 3020. Was a good match, other than the front end was still light with 10 double stack weights on the front. Just plugged it into the remotes and tied lever back. Ran it up to 6 hours at a time and no issues.
