Where the PTO shaft comes in at the front of the machine, there's a 2-grove sheeve / pulley that drives the belts.
On mine, the sheave slides forward towards the PTO u-joint, moving the belts out of line and throwing them off.
I can't see anything that would hold that sheeve from sliding backwards and forwards on the drive shaft, even in the parts diagram.
What's meant to keep that in place?
