with the purchase of an old IH dealership. I am looking for anyone who
would be interested in any or all of these parts......if no ones wants them
I will sell the for scrap iron by the end of Oct. Thanks

Depending on where you are some of the Agco dealers might have an interest for the Heston NI equipment is part of the Agco conglomerate now. Otherwise Look at putting an ad in the photo ads here.

Partsdepot is where to purchase obsolete parts.
Here is what there website says. I am guessing they might purchase excess/obsolete inventory.

Since 1982, we have been providing the dealership organization with solutions to their excess parts inventory. As a redistribution company, we remarket their excess, both current and discontinued,

Kevin, I think a lot of the members on this ite have no idea what you are talking about. They do not realise that NcCormick, Deering and New Ideal were all seperate companus that came together to form International Harverstor. They think New Ideal and New Idea are one and same company but they were seperate companys with New Ideal being no longer in extiance when New Idea became about. The three names Deering, New Ideal and McCormick merged and as McCormick name was better known that became McCormick Deering untill they stoped using the McCormick and Deering names together and that was used on the horse drawn mowers till about the end of production about 1950. The first model McCormick Deering mower that I am aware of was the No. 4 started being built in 1985. So they are thinking about parts for around the 1940's up and not for machines of the 1800's. A lot of people are still calling New Idea as New Ideal not realizing they are using the wrong name. I don't rember seeing any of the 3 earlier name mowers and I an now 70 years old and my first piece of machinery I ever bought was a John Deere No 2 horse drawn mower in I think 1960 I have no idea if any of those parts would fit the later Ihc Mowers or not but hard to say if any cutter bar parts would fit any later model mowers. Some Amish still use the old mowers and have no ideaif they would be interested in those parts to keep their machinery working or not. Most do not want any mower older than the McCormick No 7 or No 9. If you could find a musieum that had one of them in collection they might want some of the parts to complete a mower in colection.

Correction I am now 79 years old and not 70 years old. I think my old parts books might mention the old names but witout any information

Hello Leroy, I purchased a restored Deering New Ideal one horse mower last fall in Duluth, MN that dates about 1906. I also purchase a McCormick 6 Roll Special Husker/Shredder last fall also that still has the original stenciling on it from the factory that is made of all wood that dates back befoe the 1920's and the merger of McCormick and Deering....So where Are you located? I am in MN

Good explanation. I was seeing New Idea parts which I was familiar with. I think you met 1885 for the number 4 McCormick mower??

I am from Ohio, actually from Wapakoneta Home of Neil Armstrong, first man on moon. And that family was not what they are made out to be. I am now living in a senior home about 50 miles nort of where I was raised. Could not keep the family place after I lost my wife And now I could not keep the place up if I still had it. Couple of years ago I sold a lot of my old parts books to Amish friend that is a machinery dealer for his use. Still have some but don't rember what all I do have.
