What kind of loader do I have?

I recently bought a 706 gas. It came with the loader, but it has no stamps, decals, or plates on the loader anywhere that I can see. I'm wondering what kind it is so I can track down a manual and procedures for installation and removal. Any help is much appreciated!

I'm guessing it's a Westendorf. Look carefully at this patent drawing. See if your brace above the front axle is attached with this type of mount. That's a patent they used for years. I can send you more links about it. Not sure what model, but that's a Westendorf mount

Beagle,

That's exactly what kind of bracket mount is there, spinning plate to release the bracket and all. Any idea on a model number to look up?

They were red for many years, then switched to black. We still have one mounted on MH 44, what paint that is left on it almost matches the Massy.

Just remember that rust is a color too.

Not sure on original color. The tractor has been repainted at least once from what I can tell, so they probably painted the loader to match given that I can't find any kind of markings on the loader. They may have gone as far as sanding it all down seeing as I couldn't even find any raised paint to give me a hint at what the brand was.

There are hundreds of loaders out there that would fit a 706. Most are similar to remove. However.a careful study will allow you to figure it out. The use of a hoist of some sort will probably be needed. A
stout tree branch and come-a- long;An 'A' frame;forklift or loader.Enlist someone who has some mechanical ability. Good luck. You can do it.

Hey Red! I'm an old farm boy from over by Greeley. I'd be millionaire if I had a penny for every siphon tube I have carried.
The thing about this loader is that nothing is required ( even wrenches ) to mount and dismount. Read a ways down in the patent and it describes the exact procedure to do it. It uses the hydraulics to position it when removing it. Just like all the new loaders today.
Don't even need the short leg's that mount to frame like the new ones. Hook up the hoses first and the tractor does the lifting.
My dad had a Farmhand F10 special loader on an 8N and then a Massey TO-35. Talk about a dedicated loader tractor! A good friend lives in Collbran.

I was raised/farmed northeast of Ft Collins(wellington) till I moved across the mountains to Delta in 1987.Ran all over that northeast area in my '67 F100 with 390 4 barrel and dual straight pipes.Would fly across the 'Nunn road at 100 mph. (wonder I'm still alive) the summer I worked for a farmer at Pierce.Went to all the sales conducted the loval auctioneers. Wingate,Wimmer,Hartnagle,Austin,Odle/Cumberland.....Those were the days. :) Still irrigate, but now use a lot of gated pipe. But I still have one dirt ditch where it is 'tubed'.Still have family there.

I could be a WL-30 Westendorf Loader like I bought. They are kind of heavy duty and would fit a Farmall tractor with narrow front good because of the length. I have a advertizment/Manual for mine. See if it
looks like these Pictures???

All the early Westendorf loader made in Smithville Iowa were painted red but they all rusted because they used cheap paint Plus red doesn't hold up in the sun. I would like to see a picture of what we are talking about to see if this was help full???
