broke both frount spindles on a 10 ton knowles running gear . Can someone tell me where a Knowles dealer is located Thanks in advance TOM

If you can, I'd consider replacing that knowles with anyting else. Just not a Gehl as they were made by Knowles. Any one I've ever been around doesn't track worth a darn and the 12 ton tandem under our Gehl 970 forage wagon broke a rear spindle 2 years ago, twisting the back 1/2 into a peice of scrap iron. I fabricated a new rear up and replaced the busted spindle in the tandem and put it back under, but I still don't like Knowles.

Nieghbor's got 2 Miller boxes on some 20-30 year old JD gears and despite the lack of maintnance and mis-matched truck and implement tires of all different sizes, they still track perfectly.

At the very least it sound like you should consider going up to a 12 ton yourself.

As far as replacement spindles, I've already made up new front spindles at the first shop I worked at. Turned the bearing diameters and everything needed for the hubs, then heated them cherry red in the press and bent them at the angle needed for the shaft to go in the tube.

If you are breaking running gear spindles on Knowles running gears its operator error and not poor construction... you dont break spindles and parts on these unless you are severly overloading and or Running the snot out of these... maybe you have cheaped out on weight rating or abusing them... in 30 years have never broke a spindle or had trailing issues unless a reach got bent... even rolled a gruetts chopper box over never broke or bent any spindle in operations normal to farming

(quoted from post at 08:26:29 10/24/11) This might help you find a dealer or parts if there isn't one.

The main page of the website says, "We are pleased to inform you Schuette Manufacturing has purchased Knowles Manufacturing Company. We will continue to provide the same high level of service you have come to expect from Knowles."

Who knows how long ago that was posted. The website could have been sitting there online for years, lost in the back of some dark data center.

The original post is from 2011 so.... I'm guessing something was done about the broken spindles by now. I didn't think it's been that long since I repaired ours either, but I guess it has.
