New Holland 1049 parking brake cable

The parking brake cable is froze up on my New Holland 1049 Super bale wagon. Am assuming I need a new cable. According to the parts book, the cable is part #516746. Where is the best place to look for a new cable. A New Holland dealer or are there any aftermarket suppliers that might have it???

You may have already got you cable and are stacking bales. I would suggest that if you do not have to have OE parts and want to save some money always run your part number in a web search. A place in Montana has them but after shipping to MN where I am you are only saving about $20 and you would have to wait for it to arrive on Sep. 19. I will link the source I am talking about.

Thank you for the information. I am done haying for the year, but am just making note of what I need to work on fixing this winter. I am in Montana, about 60 miles from Sod Busters. I also called the local New Holland dealer and they have one for $195.xx, so will probably get one there the next time I am in town. Thanks again for your reply.
