JD motorized 14T on FB marketplace

There is a motorized running and working in a video JD 14T small square baler on FB marketplace, the seller is asking $4000.00, :shock: is that price crazy or valid?
 
Crazy price. A engine for the JD 14T was an option allowing you to use a smaller tractor that didn't have enough power to pull and run the baler at the same time. The owners manual for the 14T even show how it was mounted and all the parts you needed
 
must be the old wisconsin engine. that was the general set up. baler is worth 500.00 and so is the engine, so long ways from 4k.
 
There is a Super H down the road for $3,000.00,wanting and getting are two different things.
 
Crazy price.

Would be $400 on an auction here. A really really nice machine private sale might be in the $1000 neighborhood, but the 14 is an old machine that would have to be a
good one for a grand.

If your tractor has live pto the engine is a bad extra headache. If your tractor does not have live pto then the engine was nice, but - why dont you have live pto in
todays world if you want to make hay.....

The price is crazy! I had one, it was a good baler, the Wisconsin engines can be a fuss at times, $400 is more reasonable if it's in good
shape.
