Saw one near me on FB marketplace. Asking 2K, wondering how old it is, what size bale and if it's a decent model. Seen some on auction sites between $325 and $675.

They were built in the 70s. They were a good baler in their day, but by todays standards, well, they were built in the 70s, what more can be said? They had a table belt instead of rollers in the bottom. Seems like somebody looked a few years ago, maybe it was onefarmer, and Shoup still had those belts, but you don't want to have to change one. I bought a new 1500A in 79. I did a tremendous amount of custom work with it. If they were asking $200 for it, I'd say what have you got to loose, but for $2000, well, I just can't imagine anybody paying that kind of money for one of those old balers. You have to get to a 60 series Gehl baler to get one that has a bottom roller instead of a table belt.
