Tx Jim, maybe I have the model wrong, but I looked on Tractorhouse.com and found both types of plows listed as John Deere 55's. If it has a different designation, I hope you can tell me what mine is. Thanks, kelly

It looks to me the guy in Missouri on Tractorhouse has no idea what they are other than John Deere so he just made his best (incorrect) guess.

Four R-D Sales & Repair in Missouri is incorrect on models of the plows. Those plows resemble models F145A or H

If I remember, the 145 has spring trip standards and the 135 has shear bolts.

That's correct shear pin trip standards for 135 & spring trip standards for 145

Our trailer 6 bottom looks similar, only has trip bottoms and a rectangle shaped bar. Rather than the 2 channels welded together for a frame backbone on it. So what model would that be?

My knowledge of JD larger drawn moldboard plows is very limited because none were sold in my area . I'll take a guess at model 777H or 3100

This definitely isnt mine. Mine has NO tongue,
ONLY a rear wheel and attaches only to the lift
arms of a three point hitch on the tractor.
I think if you look at tractorhouse.com, then under
tillage, then under plows, then John Deere, then
model 55 and scroll down youll see some that look
like mine.
It was the nicest working, most fun plow Ive ever
used until it broke. Kelly

I was replying to Catterpillar guy's question about model # of a 6 bottom drawn plow. I can assure you I know exactly what a F135/F145 moldboard looks like because I owned/plowed with one for many yrs. I traded the JD F145A 4 bottom 16'' for a MF 6 bottom 14'' plow.
