Ferguson tiller springs

Good afternoon. I have a ferguson tiller or field cultivator, depending on what you want to call it. It is a 9bo-20 9 shank. I am missing 4 of the springs. They are 2 in x 14in, 27 coils. I can get them new but they are 45.00 per. Is there anyone out there who has 4 they would like to sell at a reasonable price? I think they are the same as Dearborn. Lowell Gehring. Oxford ks. 620-2one8-8four68. If not I think I will remove two shanks and re-space. Thanks

I'd just replace them with the new ones. Yup it costs money to keep old equipment up. Old used springs may have been stretched some or lost the tension in them so they don't dig like it used to. New ones will be the right tension and hold the shank in place like it should be. besides they are probably many years old so dividing the cost over the years will make it not look so bad. Freight on them will eat up about half of what you think you will save. The way shipping goes they may not all get to you after they knock some holes in the box and lose a couple. Now your cost is back to new for used springs. And yes I have had these things happen to me on things shipped a lot lately.

Thanks so much for the information ! I will ponder all of this again and hopefully make a good decision. You folks are awesome, have a great week.

Go to www.agrisupply.com and search for 65705 replacement spring. You'll need to check your dimensions vs. the ones given for that spring. Sometimes these parts for the newer clones of the Ferguson design work on the originals, sometimes they don't. It's $18.99, so hopefully for you, it's serviceable.
