Model 30 loader

On a Model 30 loader, there are two slide pipes on each side of the loader. If anyone else has one of these loaders, what do you use on the slides to keep them lubricated? If grease is used, strings of grease fly off and get all over the tractor making it a mess. The slides I am talking about are in the picture.

Leave it dry.Grease collects dirt, which gums up and causes more wear. Some things just work better dry.

I was seeing the pipes starting to have metal tore out of the pipes when I ran them dry. So I started using grease when I plan to use it a lot and that is when the grease strings out and gets on the tractor hoods. So I think I will try the dry graphite spray to see how it works. Dad had one of these many years ago and he used grease on the pipes, but he only put it on in the spring to clean out the cattle lots and then took it off when he was done with it. Did not have that problem then but it never stayed on like I do. Mine stays on all year long.
