500 Gallon Bestway Sprayer - What Do You Know About Them

Picked up an old Best Way 500 gallon sprayer on the cheap. It is a winter project...

What do you know about these sprayers? Boom is on the front of the sprayer - any advantage to that? It has a hydraulic driven pump.

Got it on my JD to move it around, plan on putting it on the MF 1105 for hayfield spray duty. Have not measured the booms, but I would say at least 40 ft.

Anyone have or used one of these Best Way 500 gallon sprayers?

Thanks!
Bill

Have a 500 gallon Kuker with 60' booms...paid $400 and spent another $400 on new hoses and nozzles. Really like the sprayer as it rides so smooth with the tandem axle.

Sprayer are largely made of vendor parts. So regardless of 'brand',that are mostly the same.My spray rig is a dedicated IH/Farmall 400 with saddle tanks and 3 point boms.We call him 'Chimpmonk Cheeks'.

Before Chipmonk,I used a small 100 gal trailer type sprayer.

I have a 200 gal Walsh sprayer, 30 boom. I replaced the PTO hypro pump last year with a new nickel silver type. The pressure increase immediately blew out a couple old fittings. I would like gps on it as I spray in the evening and almost always deal with getting too dark to see well.
