9-24 implement tire source?

Did the google search and came away confused. I have this size on an old John Deere manure spreader that I use.
Could a wider, 9.5, tire be put on?
Looking for it now to be used next year...

They are probably 20 inch wheels. New idea corn pickers, other brand old spreaders,newer corn planters. I would look for a couple old 24.5 truck wheels. Cut the centers out and weld in the center for the spreader. this would give you lots of old tires available for the job rather cheap at junkyards or tire shops.

Just get a tractor tire that matches up.You need tractor type tread on a spreader anyway.Think my New Idea spreader has 8.3 X 24 tires.

If its a 9 X 24 old size then 9.5 X 24 new size is what you need.

Try Miller Tire in Ohio. If he doesn't have new ones then probably no one has them.
