Hi Eaust

Had to do some bearings on the conditioning rolls a 492 slightly different machine however the set up would be very similar. Went to local bearing place and got some Fafir brand which had a wider collar so they would be more durable than what NH wanted to spec. They usually are cheaper as well. As long as you can get the dimensions a bearing place should be able to help you out.

No specifics, but

If you can get one removed, you may be able to get a manufacturer part number off of it...Timken, FAG, whatever..then find those bearings.

If you're replacing all 4, may have to buy one to get a part number off of it....I've done that.

Also, you can type the NH part number...Messicks shows 86575514...and search on ebay. There's one listing there, 3 Fafnir bearings for $99, but they look like greaseable bearings, not sealed.

Good luck

Fred

I have gone to my local bearing store many times with old bearings or pieces of old bearings, or just measurements, and have gotten what I wanted for much less money than OEM.

As others have said, take the number, or the bearing, to a local bearing supply place and try that. Or type the number into Ebay. I've gotten a lot of discontinued bearing off Ebay for $2-3 apiece. You can go online and get much less expensive bearings, but sometimes they are CHEAP bearings. No name, Communist Chinese bearings aren't really very good.

ay attention to this. Generally your OEM bearings are a higher quality bearing. Generally speaking your bearing wearhouse folks can get you a quality bearing. Be careful online though. A lot of fake name brand junk out there.

Google Joe's Machinery,LLC. They have those bearings for 488 rollers at $84 each. That may sound high but I have bought from them before and the bearings that I got were top quality. I got bearings for NH 404 crusher rollers. They are an odd size and could not be found anywhere else.
