unknown hay rake brand.

Can anyone tell me what brand this rake is? I found a casting number on the hub and it was I think 4117? the first number is questionable. No tags or anything on it.

Would need to see a close up of a tooth but it looks a LOT like a Pollard. They made rakes, windrow turners (using one or two wheels) corn cribs, anhydrous applicators and sprayers etc. I have a front mount version.

Teeth aren't available but I have rigged up jigs to modify JD teeth to work.

I did look up a patent number off the back wheel which was added to mine and it showed the applicant as being from Welcome, MN. Other references show Pollard as being based out of Minneapolis.

Where are you located?

Shoot Was hoping you were closer than that. Will say the jigs I made up aren't that complicated. Cut off the bent tip, hammer the mounting loop 90 degrees and put a curve on the tines.

The front mount one I have was taken out of use because teeth became unavailble. Also on left turns it is pretty much just a bulldozer. Took it out of the weeds to use for baling the strawstack at the local threshing show.

Should also say that Farmhand had a pull type that was very similiar. Teeth are available for those and as I said earlier a closeup of a pair of mounted teeth will let me know what you have.
