Good Evening
A wood splitter not far from me came up for sale for a good price and I just wanted to make sure I have not overlooked something. I will attach a picture of the splitter at the bottom.
My tractor is a B414 and it has open center hydraulics, I plan to run the splitter from the rear remote that is plumbed into the valve body in front of the seat. Then once its hooked up I will just tie the valve back and run it from the lever on the splitter.
The splitter is currently being run from a jd 2320 which has open center hydraulics as well according to the internet.
My concern was I read in another thread that if you "tie the lever back" another user warned that when the splitter valve is in neutral all the fluid will pass over the pressure relief valve and cause a lot of heat. But from my understanding this would only be the case if you were using a closed center spool valve on the splitter with an open center hydraulic system on the tractor.
Does this all sound right?
Thanks
