Oliver 6241

Hey Guys,

I bought an Oliver plow last year, 6241, a two bottom rollover. It is a great plow, does a perfect job. But, I would like to pick up some new shares, etc. for it and have them on standby. Does anyone have any resources on where people can still purchase shares that will fit these models from the 1960s?

'Blachsmith',or throwaway?Wiese still
makes shares,see your White/Oliver(AGCO)
dealer.Plowworx can most likely get you
some. Some of those older plows used a 3
bolt share.Later ones used a 4 bolt.

Thank you. I sent them a message. Plus I have an old Edwards plow as well that has a 14 inch M. Moline moldboard. I would love to get it back in the ground again. My JD 1020 pulls it a lot better.

Does Osmundson still make plow points and parts for plows yet? If so there is another source. I have not bought plow parts in a long time. Osmundson used to be sold at TSC stores.

I also bought a 6241 2 bottom rollover plow this spring and have discovered that some portion or all of the rollover stops are missing does any one know where to find the parts?

Hey. My Oliver plow is on my tractor right now and it's down at my local AGCO dealer getting it's fuel sending unit worked on. Turns out that Deere knows and is continuing to sell none working sending units for the 20 series tractors from the 1960s. Anyway, I will take some photos of my plow tomorrow and will post them here for you to look at. The rollover stops are just large bolts aren't they? Also, I've noticed a few stress fractures in a few places. I will take photos of those as well for you to look at and compare to yours.
