Broke the shaft on this knotter. Item 5
If anyone has worked on this knotter ,I need some advice ?
Not sure what failed .
I assume the cutter was not working to wind the twine around like that .
Or the spring failed .

My 224 has never done that in nearly 20 years. my only advice is to go through all of the settings and adjustments in order. The way everything has to work together it can often be a number of small adjustments instead of one major problem.

How many bales did not tie before you discovered that mess. Looks like you have 3 or 4 knots there. Buy a new bill hook. After installation check whatever scrubs the knot off the billhook on a MF baler. My guess is a new bill hook will solve your problem, only about 124$ at Messicks. gobble

MF has nothing that "scrubs the knot" off the billhook. The hay being pushed in after the knot is tied pushes it off .

well showcrop I showed my ignorance concerning MF balers. But he will need a new bill hook or whatever Massey called them. gobble

Yes Tom, I would call it a "bill hook" My 224 has no "duck bill".
