New Holland 67

I have just replaced the rollers for the finger bar. There is about 1/8-3/16 of an inch play between the rollers and the track. Is this acceptable or should I look at replacing the tracks? It makes noise when it is running but seems to work ok. I want to prevent future problems if possible.

I assume you are referring to the Cam follower bearings for the pickup bars? A small amount of play is normal at some part of the travel, but
as the cam bearings rotate they will come into contact with the cam, which causes them to turn the angle of the pickup tines (fingers).

I hope you held the bolts by the slot in the end while you tightened the nut? The cam bearings are pinned to the shaft by a barely visable
indentation. If you break that pinning the bearing will not last very long. That is why the slot is there on NH cam follower bearings.

I am refering to the cam followers for the tine bar that takes the hay to the bale chamber. They are not threaded. There is a set screw that holds them into the cross shaft.

(quoted from post at 04:58:22 08/24/21) That seems really loose. My 273 calls for 1/32 clearance. The lower edge is adjustable and the side pads can be shimmed.

If I understand correctly the 273 has a different setup than the 67.
