New holland 420 square baler help

I have a 420 square baler and last time I used it I broke the needle on the left side if your sitting on your tractor. When it happened it broke the shear pin as well. I replaced the shear pin and had the needle fixed and I got it put back together and now I cannot get it to work. There is what I'm thinking a safety on the bottom of the machine that is preventing it from working. I cannot figure out for the life of me what I am doing wrong. Any help is appreciated.

Pull the needles back home and that will let plunger travel. Do all this by hand. I am guessing needle brake needs titened. Every thing on a 420 has pretty up to snuff at 120 spm things happen fast.

You could be headed for disaster if you power it up without first rolling it over and making a few little bales by hand.

Make sure it will roll freely by hand
first! Them put the power to it and trip
it EMPTY before you feed amy hay to it
Get out your book and read it.If you
dont.have a book,get one NOW!At 40
