I have a JD 7000 4 row wide planter that has the regular row monitor (Type M2000) Last year when I was finishing planting I noticed the 4 lights on the monitor would constantly stay lit even when the power switch was in the OFF position. They would stay lit with or without the unit connected to the wiring harness on the planter. I finished planting, took the unit off the tractor and put it away in storage. Last week, I got the unit out and connected to a 12 volt battery and the on/off switch worked fine turning on and off the lights. I did not see any broken wires, moisture, rust, impurities, etc. when I have the cover off to take a look at the insides. My question is what could have possibly caused this? I had it sent to Ag-Express in March, 2014 for inspection/repair and it has worked fine. Perhaps I should send it to them again? Any assistance is always appreciated.
