Hay wagon ?

We just got done sand blasting and painting a Minnesota 7-ton trailer to put a hay rack on. We plan on putting two 16 foot 6x6" beams on the trailer with 2x6 cross boards and decking the trailer with 4/5 deck wood. I was wondering what the best way to secure the 6x6's to the trailer would be? I'm thinking about bolting the 6x6's to the front axel and let the rear of the 6x6's float on the rear axel. Then wrap a chain around the rear axel and 6x6's so the trailer can flex. There are 5 inch U-channel brackets bolted to the trailer to mount the beams to. There was a gravity box on the trailer and that was how it was mounted. Does this sound like a good plan? Do you think a 4x6 would be strong enough? Any advice would be appreciated.

All my hay wagons nave 4"x6" main beams with 2"x4" stringers holding the 1"x4" tongue & groove or 1"x6" (spaced 1/16") deck together. The 1"x4" decks
were originally chopper box sides. The decks will stay put for the most part. The only thing to add would be chains. Those are on the the 4"x6"'s
front & back. They hang down about 2" to let the gear have a reasonable amount of travel or twist under the deck.
