Need a boomless nozzle to replace the booms on my 300 gallon tow sprayer. Going to
do some rough ground with blackberries. Have an 8 roller pump. Want to put on
around 25 gallons per acre and using either Chapparel or Pasture Guard. Which
nozzle do you recommend to work best? Boomjet has several sizes as to GPM. Also see
a Hamilton for sale.

Can't really recommend a brand, got mine at a ag supply company that builds sprayers, told them what I needed to do and they fixed me up with the components.
I'm using a 6 roller pump that will put out 10 gpa at 40 psi going 6 mph, for more gpa I turn up the psi and drive slower.

I have two pattern plates, one for 30 ft wide fan pattern and another for 20 ft to one side.

There's a whole chapter on that in the Pesticide Applicators Manual that you have to know to get your restricted pesticide certification, including a chart with the nozzle numbers and GPM. Get it from your county extension service. At least be responsible enough to have the book even if you don't take the test and get your certification.

MR RR, I WAS CERTIFIED IN 1999. THE BOOK I WAS GIVEN DID NOT HAVE PRODUCT REVIEWS. IF YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT A SUBJECT YOU CAN JUST STAY OUT OF IT.

It's not a product review. It's a chart in the chapter on calibration. You have to be recertified every three years. It might be time for a new manual. It's always on the test.

I use and Highly recommend the Hamilton Agri-Jet Boomless Nozzles. They come in Various Orifice sizes from #5 to #20. You can google them and get flow charts of contact the directly at wlhamiltonco.com.

25 gals per acre of solution seems inordinately high. Maybe your Dad did it that way in 99 but most applicators now are in the 10 to 14 gal range.
