Bale

Having fun baling however S68 does not want to feed on far right side. I see a spring loaded tine inside. The only thing I can figure is tine is not snapping back. Any experience on far right not wanting to scoot hay over?

If like the bigger balers, there is an extension spring on top of that tine that hooks to tine bar to assist in it comming back down. Those springs sometimes break or the clip they hook to on tine where spring hooks gets hole worn out and spring comes loose. You can see it if you remove back cover. spring length isn't real critical and you can find one at harware store. On bigger balers spring hooks to bracket that goes arond tine bar, that end may have won out also.

Those NH balers have alumunim tines. They get short when worn and dont feed in short light hay.sometimes a return spring can be
broken/missing.Sometimes adding an extra tine can help' I did that to a 283,it wirked great, helped feeding significantly, especially in light
hay. Rakeing 2(or more) windrows together to keep the baler 'full'can help.It works better when it's full.

If you don't have that spring, the tooth just floats around and the hay won't go over. When we bale with out S68, we usually have the outer row of the hay in the middle of the pickup.
