Farmi winch

Have this old Farmi winch that came on the 135. I have no need for it as I already have a Wallenstein. It is in working condition with 3
choker chains an very good cable 7/16 I think. I have no idea what it is worth but I gave 3500 for my winch 10 years ago.Any ideas the value?
Thanks for any suggestions.By the way how do you keep it upright when you remove it?

Have no idea of value, but I would lean it up against a post to keep it upright, like I do my post auger

I dug a hole and burried a railroad tie in the ground to tie my post hole digger to when it’s not on the tractor sure easy to hook and unhook

It is missing the bottom pulley and somebody added the plate, why? Has the bar you hook chain into been bent? Good unit, I have one just like it. You need the bottom pulley if you are pulling on an angle, very easy to tip tractor over if you pull sideways off the tower. Use a long control rope so you can stand out of the way of a parted cable. We back up to a wall and lean the unit against the wall, don't like to leave my stuff outdoors. I am thinking of replacing the wire cable with a synthetic cable, understand you have to grind all the pulleys very smooth. Find the bottom pulley and a little paint and it should be worth $1.5-2K.

Thanks for the info. Don't see where a bottom pulley would go. The plate was welded on to protect the winch, so I was told and it was well done. The chain bar is straight.Overall It is in very good shape considering it's age. A paint job would definitely do it good.

The winch in this photo has the pulley. Looks are deceiving, the pulley is vertical in the housing.

My Wallenstein came with the lower pulley but I never use it . Try to do a straight pull and have had no problems with it lifting the front
of a 3400 Kubota and I have pulled some good sized hardwood trees. I talking 3 or 4 trees to make a cord.

Hello, like earlier reply, we tie our Post hole digger to a barn beam at a handy height to unhook & rehook. Also Lucky you we are looking to buy a gently used Logging Winch. We’re a little North of Columbus Ohio. Where are you located? Thanks.
