638 round baler

Got a 638 NH round baler it is not cutting the twine quick enough it almost misses the right side of the bale before it gets cut the twine sometimes falls to the ground where it misses the bale completely it just started mid season this year nothing looks bent or has moved any ideas

Twine falls off the edge of the bale? Not enough hay on the sides and too much in the middle; barrel shaped bales.
Fill the sides of the chamber, the middle will take care of itself.

Check the twine tension. I had some issues probably a little like that and turned out the twine tension was way too light. tightened it up and problem went away --- almost. Still needs tightened a bit more to be in spec with the manual.

The new holland can be a finicky bugger with those drop down twine arms . Are you sure the knife id set right and id is the twine guide there

638 has a different twine arm setup. Twine is applied from one side to the other, not from the center out. But like all NH balers the knife and anvil are at a fixed distance from the side of the chamber. If the twine is coming off the edge of the bale he has a bale shape issue.
He could maybe move the twine guide L shaped bolt near the anvil towards the center of the baler, but that is the only adjustment that will help.

Bale shape issue if the twine is falling off the bale.

You can also not bring the twine arm as far to the edge of the bale when tying.

Electric-Manual Control twine arm so operator can vary every bale.

If the twine isn't cutting, cut the alignment of the twine before cutting. I found hay can pile on the knife assembly and deflect the twine under the knife, or bind the knife up so it doesn't move right.

Bales are perfect size it just doesn't cut the twine until its right next to the edge of the bale worked perfect in the past something happened but I can't see anything bent or where anything has moved or slipped adjustment
