John Deere 546 hay baler pressure

Im new to John Deere equipment as I just purchased the baler at an auction to have around for a spare/help get hay up when rains on the way. It bales a good looking roll and does everything it should just not tight. Its a 546 electric tie and when you shut the door you can see the belts tighten and as soon as I let off of the hydraulics on my tractor they immediately relax. I cant find any leaks anywhere on the baler and am not sure where to start. Also this baler does not have an electric monitor, it has a needle similar to older new Holland bakers for bale size and two sliding gauges for pressure on the left and right. My bales are far too loose for my liking. Any help with this would be awesome.

(New to the forum also and if this has been asked previously sorry for a repeat)

Check hydralic cylinders for internal leaks. If they do not leak it is probably the high pressure relief valve in the square tension block.

I think I've read where adjustable valve was substituted for non-adjustable valve. Are you crowding each side of windrow to fully fill each side
of forming bale? Can you post some photos of your completed bales?

Close the gate, unplug hydraulic lines from tractor and make a bale. If it works okay, then the problem is with a
leaking scv on the tractor causing the pressure to dump back to the tractor.

Just thought I should post what fixed it. I pulled the line off of the barrel end of my rams and was getting some internal bypass in both cylinders on the doors. Repacked those and she runs good as new. Thank you for all the suggestions!
