Well I finally found a decent 472 mower somewhat locally. Picked it up last night. With the aid of a forklift it was pushed right up the trailer ramps. A little wide but came home with no issues. It will stay
on the trailer until this weekend when a friend with a forklift will help me get it back on the ground.
The mower is in overall really good condition. The conditioning rolls were replaced less than 100 acres ago. Should last me as long as I can/want to do hay. The only thing it really needs is the right side
sheet metal door. While it came with one, it's in rough shape. So rough that it is virtually unusable. Repair is also not really an option as it is crushed. So, where can I obtain a better one? I'm sure maybe
through NH but I shudder to guess what they want for one. I will check though. Any salvage places that might be worth a call? I'm in the NW. We really don't have any great places in our area. Worst case I can
run without it as the previous owner did but it does leave a bunch of moving parts exposed. (not that I'd ever get that close to it while running)

Call Nyssa Tractor over by Ontario, OR. 541-372-4020. Fun place to visit if you’re ever in the area and the grocery store in town makes great donuts.

Take measurements of the good one to your local sheet metal shop . You should be able to cut all the crumpled part off and bolt/ weld rivet, the new one to what is left.
