The original subject was "Re: Case disk".

I have a disc just like the one you posted. I'm having problems with the front disc bearings freezing up. I will disassembly and repack with grease they work for a while and stop working. The bearing is "s' type. Is there a conversion kit that any one know about? Or a answer to this problem I would Appreciate any information. As far as parts a case dealer will have some of the stuff like disc, rods etc. Bearings good luck.

thanks tried that did not help.[/quote]

By chance are you running the disc to deep in front? I have a small 10' IH which did the same thing last it was used. You could almost bury the front gang allowing a large amount of dirt over the shaft and maybe packing the bearing with dirt? Not sure if I am wording this properly. I have loose soil and years ago I think I ran mine to deep and might of caused this problem. Loaned it out and the guy had same problem with mine. Regards, John.
