Its been about 5 years since I rebuilt the gearbox in my old 488 and I dont remember much other than it was a PITA to get back together. I noticed slop in the input shaft tonight and figure I better get it fixed before it goes and I lose the gears. Is there anything other than the bearings and seals I need to replace? That all I can remember, but my memory isnt so good.
