Hi,

Can someone help with me the instructions on how to mount this to a Farmall Cub. Will I need any additional brackets.

Where can I find a manual or diagrams?

Thanks Much!!!!!

What did it come off of?

Go to the Woods website and you can search through the list of manuals. It can take a while. Find the one you need, and it will show you all you need for your tractor.

remember a Cub's pto is 1000 rpm and turns opposite of normal pto's,, also that is going to be a load for a Cub or would be hear, I had one for years as a yard trimmer but it had a 5' belly sickle mower, later I had a new 17hp Satoh and new RM59 woods,, it was really too much for the Satoh but it had plenty of low gears to make it work,, you may get along fine with your jobs just what I seen

You will be further ahead to get the correct Woods deck for the Cub. The Cub deck is unique and fits only the Cub. Looks like a nice used deck with all the mounting hardware but not for the Cub. Almost looks like it came off a Farmall C but hard to say. No doubt one could make it work but it isn't worth the effort in my book. I have been looking for a deck and hardware for a Farmall C but the ones I find are to far to justify the trip. The devil is in the mounting hardware and in the case of the Cub even the deck is part of the mounting process. Around here I found lots of Cub mower decks but you need to get all the mounting hardware or the fit up is going to be a PIA.

The comments on the deck being too much for the Cub is borderline accurate. If your Cub is working at peak running and you keep your blades sharp it will cut grass. It is a good system in my book. But if you let your blades get dull, motor needs tune up or rebuilding it is going to struggle even on yard grass or in my case "green stuff". My yard is green but not at all "estate quality grass". I do not let my grass get to tall or I will have to work much harder to mow it. I have to keep up with it once a week or I might be in trouble. It is not even a little bit of a brush hog. It is a finishing mower so keep that all in mind. My Cub was rated at 10 HP and fairly slow RPM so the tractor needs to be running well and the blades need to be kept sharp. Good luck.

Thanks,

You would probably be right to call Woods and talk to the tech who can answer all your questions in detail and might know exactly what you have. My comment on Cub decks take with a grain of salt. The ones I have seen have a "pole" that runs to a bracket in the back. The "pole" is mounted to the frame but very well might be removable. My Woods Mower Deck is like a 3 digit serial number and my Cub is 1947. They may have improved or changed things since mine was built? Thing is built tough that is for sure and heavy. The more I studied the various Woods decks the less I think I knew. Think the Farmall A is left hand discharge and Cub and Farmall C are right hand? You can switch the way you run your belt but the spindles are or were made to run one direction not both. They sold kits for Allis, Farmall and I think just about anybody who made a small tractor. Yellow decks are right hand, L59s are left hand and painted white. Call Woods and find out the skinny from the tech, he will know while I am guessing on some of this knowledge. Best of luck. Great lawn mower and a good excuse to keep a little tractor around. Regards, John.
