Round 2 with old NH baler

As you can see from the photo the rice tine is catching I’m the back. And this just by moving by hand.
I am starting to think the tine is bent back to far .
Last year the spring broke and shoved the rice tine through the top of the Machine
The tine was bentSo I bent it back straight with the toolbar in the horizontal position I’ve been it straight up and down with it. I am thinking it should not be straight up and down it should be bent out more towards the Bale chamber.
Any thoughts am I right or wrong

I went back to your previous post and looked at that picture. I THINK there's a stopper for hinged tines (rice tine?) that is missing, letting it swing too far back. I'll be near mine in a little while and post a picture of it.

And as far as the guide bar you mentioned, the stationary bar between the tines,I battled getting mine straightened. It was always a problem. I read (I think on here) to get rid of it because its not needed. So I removed it. That was several years ago. I've baled thousands of trouble free bales since.
Edit: mine is a 68 and yours looks like a 271. I assume what I've said will apply to yours because the tine bar setup looks to be the same, but I dont know that for sure.

Here's the pictures of mine. Looking at your pics from the other post I'd say you're missing the stopper bolt. Also note that my tines are nearly straight down

Yes after looking at your photos you’re right I’m missing the
stopper bolt. And my tines were bent back to far I straighten
them up now It don’t hit .but I’m going to put the bolt in
Got it hooked up to the tractor today ran it real slow
everything’s looking fine only one concern. I noticed that
another drive chain jerks a little. It don’t seem to be affecting
anything. Don’t know if I need to worry about it or not.
Thanks you’ve been very helpful.
