New Holland Baler?

New Holland 271 I have never paid attention to this until it came apart. I know the rice time is bent but it still looks like there’s something missing because I feel like it’ll go back to far and catch the machine inside.
And yes it has a spring on it and it’s new

It looks like to me there was slp in the track the fed bar roller run in and it hooked on something. Not easy to straighten if possible. As mentioned there is a heavy duty spring inside that bar that if released has the capabliity of punching a hole in a wall. When I worked at NH dealer we took them apart in a press

When it was running before it broke the right time was catching the inside of the house at the end of the stroke.
I was told that was because I was running it at too high of an RPM. Last year I got about three Bale through it andThe rice tine started to catch And then it somehow managed to destroy the guide bar that runs between the tines back towards bale chamber.

Might look at a parts diagram to figure out?

Boy they don’t give that bent finger set away for free, do they, over $100 it looks like.

most times when I see that damage it was caused by worn/loose rails/bearings and more often running the Big chain that runs off the two Big gears Loose and allowing the rake to flop around, heat the tooth and straighten it, the rails can be adjusted for wear,, always run at 540 pto speed,,

Also it is driving back to far and bending the shaft that the rollers are on. I just need to adjust the chain on the sprocket I say.
Also there a hole in the arm next to the rice fork should there be something in it?
