Identify This Disc

I've only owned this piece of land for a couple of years and occasionally I get back into woods I haven't been in before. I stumbled across this the other day. It had obviously been sitting for 20+ years based upon the size of the trees I had to cut that were growing through it.

It is broken where the right side disc gang pivots at the center rail - two thick pieces of metal that I'm sure can be welded. I'm wondering what it is and who made it. The manufacturing plate is on the left of the center rail but the name of the company has been welded over. But I can read that it was made in Atlanta, GA and it is Model EVT 151 or maybe EVT 157. They are 20" discs.

Any idea what I'm looking at here? Thanks.

(quoted from post at 18:52:11 04/30/13) King Plow Company was in Atlanta, Ga.

Thanks for the information.

In doing some research, that model number seems to follow their nomenclature pattern but I can find very little on their equipment. Any good places to look? (Everything I Google tells me about the artist community that have taken over their old headquarters since 1990.)

Did you ever find any information on your King Plow product? I have a Disc Harrow and having a hell of a time find information on it. Would love to find the parts it used in case I need new pieces. I think my piece was made in the stone age it is so old.

No, never did. The discs were rusted pretty bad with a lot of metal loss from sitting in the ground. I bought a more conventional (yet old) Ford Disc at a farm auction. Mine is in the scrap metal pile.

Good luck with yours.
