King Plow Company

I have found a King Plow Co. Six Disc Harrow that I am currently trying to repair. The model is Model EVL 250 and I can not find any information on the product or the company. Ideally, I would like to find out as much about the implement as possible especially parts list, so that I know what is missing and I can then try to replace parts. I have tried contacting AgriSupply, YesterdayTractor and Shoup; none have been able to help me.

I do know the company was started in the early 1900s in Atlanta, GA and closed in the 1990s. This is seriously about all I can find. Please help! Thanks!

IF it closed in the 1990s surly there ought to still be info on it. As to parts, thats a different matter. I would have thought in the 90s that the Company would have been absorbed by another concern, and yet still have the parts reserve that they bought the company when it had them. Good luck. What parts are you needing?

One would think. I can't find anything on the attachment or the company. Google doesn't even bring up anything but the building they used to be in. As for part... I'm not sure.i was hoping to find a parts listing that would help me see what I was needing or needed to replace.

I really think they were in Rome, GA.
Yes, maybe the cooperate headquarters in Atlanta, but I'm almost positive that they were built in Rome. Maybe this will help you find a lead.

Not sure about Rome, but some of their manufacturing was done at the King Plow building in Atlanta. It doesn't help though. There is no real information on the company or their equipment.

The King Plow company was in the 800 block of Marietta St. in NW Atlanta. They had a large wall painted with their logo / sign on it. It was a big sign that to a small boy in the early 50's was huge when he went by on the trolley going to town.

The building is still there today but has been refurbished as an Art Center. you can Google it but you you will get the art center info more than the plow company info.

There was another plow company named Rome Plow that was in Rome Ga. they were different companies but may have merged in later times I am not sure of that. Rome Plow is still going and manufactures large high quality plows.

Yeah I have attended many concerts there, great venue and tons of info on it. But still none on the King Plow Co. Or their equipment, which is what I am hoping for.

Just joined YT and wondering if you have found more info on King Plow. I just obtained a disc like yours with all parts in working order. I knew it was a King product but didn't know model #--Thanks for that. I'm interested in King's paint scheme once I overhaul the disc this fall. All their advertising seems to indicate a red/orange was their color and there are traces of that amongst the rust.

I called a bunch of disc companies finally found a couple who knew what I was talking about. When I asked them for information or a list of parts to make sure I had everything they all kinda chuckled. Basically, saying I was never going to find anything like and really wild just have to speak to people who knew the attachments cause all info was from memory. I did get my fixed, not to my liking, but understanding it was going to take me too much money and time to get it where I wanted.

Your disc looks very good; hope it serves you well. I'll start disassembling my identical implement very soon. Those old discs are solidly built and very heavy.
