New Idea 30A mower lock into mow or high mow

Any suggestions as to the issues with the mower not locking into low mow or locking into high mow, positions ?
I assumed it was the spring that locks a pawl into the turn table , but can’t see inside the lift gear box .
Was so hoping there’s a new idea expert to coach me on ,this one ☝️

I have a New Idea sickle bar mower, not sure of the model. Mine doesn't have three positions that I am aware of, just up or down.

Thought they were all just up and down. Never heard of one with more positions.

Right ! you are , up and down only .
Im out of adjustment, or something brought I ordered a owners manual , try that first .

Probably a broke flat spring but could be a bad bearing.
