Hesston 540, bearings, belts, and monitor questions

Ive got an early 90s 540 thats been pretty good, at least up until last year, Ive hanged 5 different bearings between the end of last year and the first of this year. Im honestly getting tired of fighting the thing. Literally took me 9 hours to roll 33 rolls a week ago. Is it common for all the bearings to go about the same time? And is it literally ALL of them?? Funny thing its all been different bearings that Ive changed, meaning only one side. All of them are currently running cool according to my digital thermometer. Last night I changed the upper drive roller bearing on the drive side and mam was it a pia. But when I was finished, I noticed the belts were tracking back and forth a little. Could I have possibly got that front drove roller off a little? I wouldve thought that wouldve sent the belts to one side or the other, not back and forth. Baler was running empty but I dont recall it doing this before, maybe it was and I just never paid any attention. Also my full bale alarm has quit working, no beeping. I took it loose next to the gauge and jump across the pins and it beeps, so Im guessing its something with the magnets that pass each other, but I jumpered across them and couldnt get it to work. Can those things go bad? Sorry for the long post, this thing is just killing me and Ive still got couple hundred rolls to go first cutting.

Well, all the bearings were likely new at the same time and they all get used the same amount.

Might be worth tearing it apart off season and doing all the bearings.

I keep bearings on hand now. Had three bearings go in 2 days one year, other years one, some years none.

My guess about the belts going back and forth is that the roller is slightly bent. If they don’t hit the other belts as they move I wouldn’t worry too much. The sensers do go bad, they are pretty cheap to replace. When you do make sure they are close enough to each other in the correct position.
When you replace bearings on a roller do both ends so you
aren’t doing the same roller twice in a short time.
Good luck, those are good balers. I used the same one with
Case badges for a long time. I still have it as a backup baler.
