Hello all.. have a fahr tedder 4 star. Not sure of model
. Wondering if any knows how to adjust the aggressiveness of the times .... it has a set screw and lock nut so a the time will tilt fore or aft ... screw is backed most of the way out . I'm thinking if turned in to tip time. Will scatter hay a little better .. .

"set screw and nut" is not telling me anything. Most tedders are tilted front to back with a crank.

I don't think there is enough range of travel to make much difference, they're mainly there to fine tune the tines so they are all the same. Just my thoughts...

My Kuhn tedder has a crank handle that tilts the rotors down. I set it so it is just brushing the ground. The engine RPM and ground speed affect the tedding action. In other words, high RPM and slower speed scatters the hay wider.

The set screw is to even out the tine angle, the tines are reversible.turn them angled into the rotation of the star, will be more aggressive,.tilting the tedder as was said is the field adjustment, personal experience, that particular tedder will shear pins if the tines dig in very much.
