JD 7000 planter

I just bought a JD7000 plant on 15” rows with bean cups .
I have no manual yet I am looking for some advice on how to set it up for beans .I was told you have to drive at a certain speed for how your drive sprockets where set up or you would ether put to Many bean down or not Enough is this true?
This is my first no-till piece of equipment.

Somewhat true. You want a consistent speed and can count your seeds dropped from there.

You might do well to keep your eye open for some used Kinze or JD seed meters that drop soybeans much more accurately. Can often be found used for $50-75 a unit.
