Anyone have information on these? I have a friend who has one. He want to buddy it up with a 501 sickle.

A hitch point would have put on mower frame and would need pto adapter on drive sheave. A New Holland 451 mower has drive built in with a tongue attaching bundle avaible , may be not serviced now.

I take it you cant check the gearbox for oil?
If I understand correct- you want to run a second tractor with the crimper after the mower? Just follow along in the same direction as cut. If two people are running, have the crimper operator wait till the mower gets a few rounds done. Then you won't run anything down with the crimper tire. (and won't hit each other either- even more important!) Our 501 is a 7 footer which was perfect for the 510.
We got the hitch kit for the 501 to tow our crimper behind using 1 tractor. Had to open up the field by cutting the outside 2 rounds first before hooking up the crimper. Then we would drive around the outside as best we could with the mower raised to condition the outside round.
