3-Point Tool Bar Accessories

I have subsoiler mounted on a solid two inch square toolbar. I'd like to find a pair of 16" disks that can be switched out with the subsoiler to make a garden row-hiller but I am having trouble finding a supplier that sells what I need. On my tool-bar the bar is mounted to the 3-point with the corners vertical/horizontal (or... looks like a diamond viewed from the end. All the disk-hiller mounts found for sale to date have the bar mounted to the 3-point with the bar flats parallel to the ground. I have found pictures of tool bars mounted like mine but not enough info to track down parts. Just having the name of a mfg. that makes a tool-bar with the bar mounted like mine would help.

AC was often diamond, but not sure on the size? Lots of clamps available on line for old IHC, but they are 1-3/8 inch....

Thought some other IHC was also diamond, the planter units, but not sure now if that was true IHC or cobbled onto an AC bar.....

Yup, 1 3/8" lay off clamps for IHC's are available but - they are for bars with the flats parallel to the ground.

Kind of pricey but worth a look: www.qualityfarmsupply.com

They didn't have what I need for a 2" bar but looking at their site inspired the idea of using notched 4-6" channel and through bolts to make clamps.

No numbers, naming, etc on this sub-soiler I have but there is a bit Oliver looking green paint. The caps clamping the sub-soiler mount to the bar have raised, cast in the number CP1528. If that means anything to anyone, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

I have a heavily built John Deere toolbar that I think is configured like yours. It is not very wide and I don't know what it was used for - it was given to me by a guy that I used to work for, and he didn't know what it was used for either. That being said - you only need two mounts for your project. Take a look at other similar tools and make something that will be compatible with what you want and what you already have. I made a hiller out of a Dearborn cultivator. I'm certain that I could spend a day in shop confinement and make my hiller parts fit your toolbar. I used the spindles and bearings from the rear wheels of a front drive car and two used disk blades for my hiller.

2 1/4" diamond bar(assemblys) are common. I in fact have several.Implement dealers will either carry or have access to them and 'accessories'.acme is one maker of clamps. JohnDeere sells their own clamp.several sizes of shanks are out there. Round;5/8x1 1/2";5/8x2";1" x2";1"x3". plus others. You will find them in irrigated areas, vegatable, sugar beet, pinto bean, onion, potato areas.Out here in western Colorado, most farms will have piles of clamps, shanks, etc. Mine included....

IH made their own clamps for diamond bars. Johndeere still does.several aftermarket/'shortline' manufacturers do too.I have some of each.

Can?t help with the info for the tool bar. But these little 3 pt
discs are cheap and it?s easy to take the front gangs off.

Robbed a neighbors tag-along disk for parts and have a plan for making clamps from large square tubing. Nearest metal recycling yard is closed today. Tomorrow (carrying my Essential Food and Agriculture Employee exemption) I will buck the governors stay-at-home-order and hit the back roads for the bits needed.
