I bet this is the disk tiller you had

(quoted from post at 08:38:57 02/29/20) Very close but a different design tail wheel housing and wheel setup but the rest does look very close from what I can see

WOW C N 1660 you utilized a JD disk tiller? If so I would have never guessed so.

IIRC JD F series disk tillers were not the best disk tillers available at that time.

We had taken it in trade at the Case dealership we owned and no one wanted it so we used it in our farming operation some,, it worked ok for summer fallow and turning over sandy ground with out rocks so its use was limited for me, one chunk of ground was on the Wyoming experimental farm and they would not let us use a moldboard plow there so we used this in the spring to work the ground before planting, if you tried to go to deep it tried to pass you, it Did not handle rocks well at all
cnt

Hate is a strong word,, in sandy/light ground it did a good enough job,, I just did not nor now have a whole lot of ground it worked like I wanted it to,, I would still have it if not for the rocks,, I will get this one in the field one of these days though, it is not made the same as the JD unit was so it will work in rocks without damage like the solid shaft unit encountered, that was not the machines fault though as it was not made for rocky conditions
