Trying to find baler manufacturers date for insurance

Trying to find manufacturer year for CIH 8465A for insurance purpose. Serial no is CFH0122860. Not had much luck with google search. Any help would be appreciated

Model number and serial number should be sufficent.With most farm equipment,that's about all there is.

Which reminds me I need to go bend my insurance mans ear a bit they have one serial number wrong and the value wrong on one tractor

Any CaseIH dealer parts person can enter your serial number into the parts catalog search field and get a build date.

I give mine a serial number and they ask me what I want to value it at.

Question: what are you insuring your baler against and do you think it is worth it? My insurance guy threw me a sales pitch and I said no. He talked about chance of fire. I square bale and have seen zero baler fires in 35 years. Used balers are cheap. I have 2 anyway. That is my best insurance since they do break down occasionally.

Comprehensive insurance on farm equipment covers more things than just fire. I had a fellow utilizing my Vermeer TM800 disk cutter & he hit a concrete culvert hidden by tall grass. When dust settled cutter bar resembled shape of a boom-a-rang. Insurance paid for another disk cutter
